Improving Cooperation between EU Member States in Confiscation Procedures

Nikoletta Karaliota is a PhD Candidate at the Law Faculty, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). Nikoletta holds a Degree in Law (2010) and a Master’s in Criminal Law and Criminology (2015), both from the Law Faculty of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since January 2016, she is a collaborating member of the Research Institute for Transparency, Corruption and Financial Crime at the Law Faculty in AUTh. Nikoletta’s PhD thesis, funded by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) and the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI), explores the concept of confiscation under Greek criminal law and contemporary tendencies towards broadening its scope.
